It’s time for you to have your say on Hashtag’s first men’s Player of the Month award for the 23-24 season! Remember The Tags have stepped up again and are now playing in the Isthmian Premier Division, and have had a solid start to life there, with 1 win, 3 draws and a defeat in August. We’ve scored 6, conceded 6, and have 6 points…
The management team have selected the shortlist below and it’s up to you to pick the winner. Votes close at 2pm on Saturday 2 September so you need to vote quickly!
Tom Anderson
Tomo’s only played 2 and a half games thus far, but a Man of the Match performance against Folkestone shows he’s one of the reasons we’re looking (mostly) tight at the back. If he finds his shooting boots again, defences beware!
Alexis André Jr
Our TST keeper Alexis has come in as a favour for the short term, deputising for the injured Philpsy for the last 3 games. He conceded 3 against Hornchurch last time out but before that kept two clean sheets against Bognor Regis and Folkestone Invicta.
Sam Cornish
New signing Sam has had a great start to life at the club, with a goal and a Man of the Match award in August, and he’s already an instrumental force in the middle, often forming the Cornfield with Max!
PK Humble
PK has come back lean, mean and ready to jinky mi jink around oppo defences this season! He’s started every game so far, notched two assists and even more highlight reels.
What an experience TST was for Hashtag! 3 group wins, including one against former US internationals, and a narrow but exciting defeat in the knockouts against Como. Be sure to watch the vlogs of the tour on Hashtag's channel if you haven't already, and here's to the 2024 tournament! For now, the club is giving you the chance to vote for their goal of the tournament, with 5 candidates to choose from.
For the first time ever, Hashtag United are giving fans the chance to vote for next season’s shirt designs…and that’s exclusively down to you Token Holders.
The Tags have announced that they’re teaming up with Adidas again for next season, and as usual, home colours will be blue and yellow. You’ve got 3 choices to pick from…so pick wisely!
Minor modifications to the final design may be required in the production of the jersey, but the overall look and integrity of the new design, as decided exclusively by Hashtag Fan Token holders on Socios.com, will be maintained.
Fans’ Player of the Season.
It’s awards time for the Champions and one of the biggest is down to you! We want you to vote for your 2022/23 Fans’ Player of the Season from the title-winning men’s team.
You can choose from an alphabetical list of every player who got competitive minutes for The Tags this season…obviously some got a lot more than others, so use your vote wisely!
You need to pick one player from the list, and the poll closes on Friday.
The results of the awards will be announced to the team next week, with the video up later.
It’s time again to vote for your Hashtag men’s Player of the Month, this time for March.
This month has seen the Tags play 4, 3 of them wins, with a goal difference of +7. The only blip came last Saturday against Stowmarket Town.
Your choices are:
JERMAINE FRANCIS
Last month’s winner Jermaine has put himself in the driving seat again with 7 goals this month, scoring in every game. He scored a hat-trick at Tilbury but missed the MOTM, then made amends and picked it up for the following game!
TOM ANDERSON
Tomo continued his solid performances at both ends of the pitch, and contributed an assist in the Tilbury game.
MAX CORNHILL
Another solid month from Max who has again bossed the midfield throughout the month despite missing the Stow game through injury, and offered an assist against Heybridge.
WYAN REID
Newcomer Wyan has had a real impact since arriving earlier this year, and this month bagged himself his first MOTM against Felixstowe and Walton before missing the Stow game through injury.
February was a busy month for the Tags, who have now reached a record-breaking 19 wins in a row.
There are a lot of stand-out performances to choose from - here are the Player of the Month nominees:
Jermaine Francis - Fresh off the back of his first non-league hattrick, Jermaine’s nomination for February’s POTM award comes with 1 goal, 3 assists, & 2 MOM awards, with 1 of those coming in our top of the table clash vs Sudbury.
Max Cornhill - Serial nominee Max is back again after another impressive month, this month the midfielder bagged twice, assisted 3 & scooped the MOM award against Coggeshall.
James Philp - Hashtag’s #1 is nominated this month for a string of impressive performances in February. With clean sheets against play-off chasing Lowestoft & Grays, as well as some huge saves in the Sudbury game, Philpsy has more than earned his nomination!
Eman Okunja - Another man that features on this list regularly, Eman’s 4 goals & 1 assist early on in February are also accompanied by back to back MOM awards in the first 2 games of the month: Grays & Lowestoft. What a season he’s having!
