Who are Millonarios FC?

Millonarios has established itself as one of the greatest teams in Colombia, obtaining 15 titles in the national league. The first one was in 1949 with the arrival of great football players such as Alfredo Di Stéfano, Adolfo Pedernera and Néstor Raul Rossi. Millonarios' sporting level was captivating and extraordinary in the way that they achieved 3 consecutive titles in 1951, 1952 and 1953. In that sense, they also became the first Colombian team to play in the old continent when it was invited to play at the Real Madrid’s ‘Bodas de Oro’. Since them, the team was known as ‘The ambassador’. The following titles obtained by the team were in the years 1959, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1972,1978, 1987 and 1988, this being the last one to be obtained in several years. The last and most resent tittle was achieved in 2017 against the backyard rival, Independiente Santa Fe. With 15 titles in the Colombian League, Millonarios F.C. is one of the biggest football teams in South America.
