Who are Racing Club?

Racing Club, founded on March 25th, 1903, is regarded as one of the most important and popular institutions in Argentina. With over a century of tradition, its many sporting achievements have made Racing a world famous club. Its nickname, “La Academia”, comes from the pre-professional times. Its legendary stadium is located in Avellaneda, only 40 minutes from the centre of the City of Buenos Aires. Its architecture and capacity makes it one of the most emblematic stadiums of the country. Part of its rich history has been built on winning 18 domestic honours, 13 national cups and 7 international honours. Racing is the only Argentine team to have obtained seven titles in a row, between 1913 and 1919 and Racing was the first Argentine team to become world champion, in 1967, by winning the Intercontinental Cup.
